Psion Teklogix launched today its newest product, the rugged PDA – iKon.

iKon features a sleek, compact and powerful design with robust built-in functionality.

iKon packs incredible functionality into a compact form factor with class-leading ergonomics, aesthetics, and ease of use. Whether reading barcodes with the integrated imager or scanner, or using the camera to take a colour picture, iKon is a category-leading data capture device ideal for mobile workers in dynamic applications.

iKon comes With a choice of three operating systems, including Microsoft Windows CE 5.0, Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 Classic and Professional.

iKon delivers wireless voice and data communications, GPS positioning, with simultaneous WiFi, Cellular (GSM/GPRS/UMTS) and Bluetooth connectivity options.

iKon will be available to customers through Psion Teklogix’ global sales offices and value-added resellers in December 2007.

Just when technology fans think they’ve seen it all, O2 once again affirms its industry leading position by introducing the trailblazing Xda Flame, the company’s latest star product. Incidentally, Mobile and Wireless Group (MWG) has been established by the current management team of O2 Asia with investment from London Stock Exchange AIM-listed Expansys, to take on O2’s PDA/Smartphone business in Asia and to continue serve this high-growth sector.

MWG will take over the majority of O2 Asia’s assets and also plans to hire a number of O2’s staff in Asia. MWG will also take responsibility for all of O2 Asia’s service and warranty obligations. O2 is committed to ensuring that its customers continue to receive an excellent level of service and that all product guarantees and service commitments are fully met.

MWG has inherited an exciting roadmap of new devices running on Microsoft’s Windows Mobile operating system which it intends to develop under its own brand. The company plans to announce its 2008 line-up of products in the coming months.
